This could be improved by changing the image in the foreground as this part of the world seems to be experiencing a perpetual late summer (the corn is ripe, the cow is out).
Could the compass in the bottom right hand side also be solicited to do something – maybe move east or west so students can see whether rising and setting angles change – this may provide insight into the distance of the sun from Earth?
